Through the last 20 years, I have explored many different genres of photography. Here are a few examples of architecture photography. I'm really happy to be connected to the PPOC so I can continue to learn what the different principles are in the different photographic genres.
PPOC defines architecture photography as:
An architectural photograph must successfully define and/or portray outstanding architectural features of a building interior or exterior by dramatic use of point of view, perspective and lighting. Must demonstrate how to control distortion and perspective within the entry and have a variety of types of buildings.
I want to continue to learn as much as I can. As I have talked about in recent blog posts, I absolutely love learning and growing.
The thing is, when I elevate my skills in different genres of photography, it elevates my repertoire and adds to my wedding skills. Weddings include many different photographic skillsets. (Portraits, environmental portraits, scenic, landscapes, performing arts, figure study, aerial, editorial, press, food, architecture, children, ... and the list goes on.)
Rounding out my all-around photography skills elevates everything.
