Craftsman of Photographic Arts Designation

I have been looking forward to this moment for a long time!  I just got a letter in the mail which confirms my eligibility for my Craftsman of Photographic Arts designation which I have earned through the Professional Photographers of Canada.  I have been working very hard for this ever since i joined the association three years ago (in hindsight, I wish I had joined much earlier).  The qualifications for this award are a mixture of print competition successes (which can be very elusive and difficult to attain), leading in the industry, mentoring, teaching, continuing education and serving fellow photographers.  This designation also opens up the possibility for me to be an image competition judge if I choose.

I have always wanted letters after my name signifying a professional designation and now I have them!  It is very satisfying to have reached this goal!  My next step will be my Master of Photographic Arts - which I'm hoping won't be too far down the road.
