Sometimes when I want to get creative, I break out the gear for macro photographs, which mean really close up.
It's a bit tricky with a narrow depth of field. I wanted to get snowflakes, but the snow falling was small crystals that were like crystal-dust vs a discernable snowflake. I'll keep my eye on the skies and try again for larger flakes. I will also need to get another lens to truly feature snowflakes.
I turned my camera toward macro photography in the kitchen as I was making dinner. The first image is of a banana peel, and the second image is of purple kale. As you can see, the purple kale made it into my pot of chili.
