As an accredited travel photographer (PPOC.ca), I can't pass up the opportunity to drag my camera with me when I adventure to other places.
In September, my extended family ventured across-the-pond to Northern Scotland. We landed in Inverness, then road-tripped through Edinburgh, Stirling, Fort William, then spent a few days on the Isle of Skye, then up to Shieldaig, then back to Inverness.
Scotland is a beautiful country, rich with history and culture. No, I did not try Haggis, because I am a life-long vegetarian. The legendary Scottish hospitality was easy to detect, and the people should be very proud of their country.
Our group must have unknowingly pissed-off the fairies, because we had about a day and a half where things definitely did not go our way. The rough road edges, the giant potholes, and our caravan of rental cars gave ample opportunity for expensive car troubles. We are a very resilient group of people, however, and the road troubles did not get us down.
I would encourage Scotland to be on your travel bucket-list, if it isn't already.
