I had the ultimate privilege to visit Spain for a massive chunk of August. Part of my trip there was to photograph a wedding couple in the north west part of Spain. Ana and David were an absolute privilege to work with. (I apologize if I write partly in Spanish. I know a little Spanish, but sometimes it just comes out.) I went to visit Santiago de Compostela, then I drove to A Caruña to photograph these two.
While I was in Madrid being a tourista, I would look at those magnificent buildings and think to myself, "wow, if I only had a bride and groom, I would put them there..., or there..." Well, in A Caruña, I was seeing the sights with a bride and groom to photograph. Talk about best of both worlds! I was in my personal heaven! We photographed in the evening, through sunset until it was dark. Ana has Flamenco dancing training, so she knew how to carry herself well...and she taught me how to flick open a Spanish fan in the blink of an eye. One of the last shots of the day (below), was using light and dark and making her veil look like an angel wing. It was definitely one of the highlights of my summer!!
