One of the things I am trying to do is slow down and savour the details of the world. One of the activities that helps me with this is macro photography. As a food photographer, seeing the small, beautiful shapes, lines, colors, textures, and forms that are found in regular food and other beautiful Earth-made items is a great activity of noticing, using the senses, and being present.
I've been on a quest to find a way to get the highest magnification I can. Lenses, extension tubes, step-up-and step-down rings, and anything I can add to the constellation of getting closer, I have cobbled together.
Who knows where this rabbit hole will go.
